Γεια σας, τι κάνεις, εδώ είναι μια νόστιμη ελληνική συνταγή σαλάτας
Quick and healthy salad
Over the years I have encountered Greek salad on quite a few menus. A simple salad consisting primarily of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, olives, feta cheese and oregano. Sometimes I also had it served with lettuce, but not when I was in Athens.
Last week I went on a field trip to Athens, my very first trip to Greece. One of the must do’s on my bucket list if I ever went to this country was to visit Acropolis and see the ruins on top and walk in the footsteps of greatness.
In this ancient capital city the Greek salad was not so different from those served around the world, the only difference is perhaps that here all ingredients is actually Greek.
Finally home after a wonderful trip I thought I had to make this salad to my blog.
Fresh and dried oregano
Flak Salt / Maldon salt
I did not have any green bell peppers on hand so this time I made the salad without it.
The salad is super easy to make and the amount of ingredients depends what you want to make, starter, snack or a main course for lunch.
Cut all the vegetables into slices, cubes or as desired.
Add the vegetables, olives and feta cheese on a plate or serving dish. Sprinkle and drizzel desired amount of dried oregano, salt flakes and olive oil over the salad.
Serve the salad with bread and tzatziki and in no time at all, you have a delicious appetizer or lunch.
